Title: Lola and the Boy Next Door

Author: Stephanie Perkins
From: Bought
Series: no
Rating:4.5/5

Budding designer Lola Nolan doesn’t believe in fashion . . . she believes in costume. The more expressive the outfit -- more sparkly, more fun, more wild -- the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood.

When Cricket -- a gifted inventor -- steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

So, I loved it.

Lola is - simply put - fabulous. She's ridiculous yet charming. Can't help but love her. This story is cute and funny and makes you want to be best friends with this girl.

Cricket. Need I say more? He makes the story. If he wasn't what he was, then I wouldn't have wanted him for her. Are you following?

I loved that Anna and St. Clair appeared in this, because I did read Anna and the French Kiss (another Perkins must-read) as well. I think I related to Anna better than Lola just because Anna is a little more down to earth, but I admired Lola. Again, she's fabulous.

Perkins is just funny. She'll make you giggle to yourself and then literally laugh out loud in the middle of the library.

It's a good read that will brighten your day.

I totally need to read this one. It's sitting on my shelf just waiting to be read, but for some reason I still haven't gotten to it. I know it'll be amazing when I finally get to it though :]
